Bring soft winter color to your glasswork with the Winterberry Frit Blend, an original SWCreations mix inspired by bright red berries scattered across fresh snow.
This 96 COE frit blend combines ruby red, berry pink, blush, ivory, and white tones for a palette that feels festive without being overly traditional. The lighter colors create a soft snowy background, while the deeper berry shades add contrast, depth, and organic variation as the glass melts and moves.
Winterberry works especially well in lampwork beads, where it can produce everything from delicate pink-and-cream swirls to bold berry-speckled mosaic patterns depending on the base glass and application technique. It pairs beautifully with white, ivory, blush, pale pink, soft neutral, and clear bases.
The blend is designed for 96 COE glass and may also be used sparingly with 104 COE glass, generally around 5–10% of the total design. As with any mixed-COE application, testing is recommended.
Use Winterberry for seasonal beads, winter jewelry designs, holiday accents, floral-inspired work, or anytime you want a soft red-and-cream palette with a little extra depth.
