Porcelain Bloom Frit Blend, 2 oz, 96 COE
Create soft porcelain-like movement and airy watercolor elegance in your glasswork with Porcelain Bloom Blue Frit Blend, a signature in-house artisan mix inspired by misty skies, delicate porcelain glazes, faded hydrangeas, weathered stone, and soft coastal florals.
This atmospheric blend combines layered powder blues, smoky periwinkle, creamy ivory, pale gray, soft lavender undertones, and translucent opal hues with naturally reactive behavior that develops beautiful movement and organic variation in the flame. As the colors melt, they softly feather, swirl, and separate, producing finished work filled with cloudy ribbons, marbled transitions, painterly depth, and delicate mosaic-like reactions.
Designed for 96 COE glass systems, Porcelain Bloom Blue works beautifully for lampworking, fusing, and surface decoration techniques. The blend develops especially striking results over light bases, where the soft opal colors can spread and layer naturally while maintaining a refined, airy appearance. Encasing enhances the glass's internal depth and luminous, porcelain-like quality, while swirl and mosaic applications create soft, stone-like patterns filled with movement and dimension.
Unlike brighter or highly saturated blue blends, Porcelain Bloom Blue leans muted, elegant, and sophisticated, making it ideal for artists drawn to watercolor aesthetics, soft coastal palettes, porcelain-inspired tones, and subtle reactive movement that feels organic and calming rather than bold or overpowering.
