Bring bright, playful holiday color to your glasswork with the Candy Cane Cheer Frit Blend, a limited-supply SWCreations mix born from an accidental variation that was too pretty to leave out.
This 96 COE frit blend combines crisp white with two different red tones and fresh green accents for a cheerful Christmas palette with a little extra depth. The two reds create more variation than a traditional red-and-white candy cane mix, while the green adds a festive holiday contrast that gives the blend a lively, nostalgic feel.
Candy Cane Cheer works especially well in lampwork beads, where it can create colorful mosaic patterns, scattered holiday spots, and softly blended swirls. The mix pairs especially well with white, ivory, clear, and other light neutral base glasses.
Because this blend was created from an accidental batch variation, quantities are limited, and this exact formula may not be available again. If it proves popular, a future SWCreations blend may be developed with a similar color direction, but it would not necessarily be identical to this batch.
The blend is designed for 96 COE glass and may also be used sparingly with 104 COE glass, generally around 5–10% of the total design. As with any mixed-COE application, testing is recommended.
