At first glance, the blend appears understated, combining earthy reds, warm browns, soft creams, olive greens, and rustic amber tones. But once introduced to the flame, Forgotten Relic begins revealing an entirely different personality. As the colors melt, react, and mingle, unexpected purples, smoky mineral tones, weathered webbing, and rich, layered movement emerge, creating a finished work that feels naturally aged rather than deliberately distressed.
Designed for 96 COE glass systems, Forgotten Relic performs beautifully for lampworking, fusing, glass blowing, and surface decoration techniques. The blend reveals multiple personalities depending on how it is worked. Mosaic applications preserve distinct fragments of color that resemble weathered pottery and ancient stone, while swirl techniques encourage flowing ribbons, layered mineral deposits, and soft painterly transitions. Encasing enhances luminosity, depth, and the blend's organic movement while allowing the rich reactions to develop beneath the surface. Compatible with 104 COE when used in small quantities (5–10%). As always, we recommend testing on a smaller project before committing to a larger project.
