Azure Current Silver Lampwork Focal Bead SRA
Capture the movement and depth of ocean currents with this one-of-a-kind Azure Current Silver focal bead. Layers of silver glass, shimmering gold aventurine, silvered ivory stringers, and bright blue accents flow together beneath a clear encasement, creating remarkable depth and visual movement from every angle.
This bead began as an exploration of contrast and layering. Rich cobalt and midnight blue tones weave through soft aqua and turquoise currents, while silver glass reactions create smoky metallic undertones that shift as the light changes. Threads of silvered ivory add organic movement throughout the design, creating delicate lines resembling flowing water, sea foam, or currents beneath the ocean's surface.
The addition of gold aventurine introduces subtle flashes of warm sparkle that contrast beautifully against the cool blues and aquas. Encasing magnifies the layers beneath, allowing the colors, reactions, and metallic elements to appear suspended within the glass.
A twist technique was incorporated during the creation process, stretching and blending the layers into fluid ribbons of color and reaction. The result is a bead filled with depth, movement, and countless details that reveal themselves as the bead is rotated.
No two beads could ever be recreated exactly alike. The interaction among silver glass, gold aventurine, ivory, silvered-ivory stringers, heat, and twisting creates reactions unique to this individual piece.
