Looks Good Enough to Eat - Lampwork Beads
The fuchsia pink, ivory, and dark brown colors in this lampwork bead look really nice together. For some reason, it really reminds me of candy or ice cream. I do not even eat ice cream, which might be a crime. Lactose and I are not friends.
Yes, see this is exactly what I envision when I look at this lampwork bead. Something like creamy vanilla ice cream with strawberries or cherries and dark chocolate.
In this bead, I started off with a fine silver core and layered fuchsia pink glass. This was a great choice because it created rose pink and fuchsia pink accents. Next, I added some shimmering bands of goldstone. This twisty also had white lines which create a nice translucent accent when clear is added on top of them.
This bead is accented with dark ivory with silvered ivory accents. I was not sure if I was going to like the fuchsia accent mixed with the lighter pink, but it really ads some nice contrast. In the center, I used a twisted stringer with intense black. Then I finished it off with some nice semi-raised metallic twist dot accents. My husband says this metallic twist has become one of my signature accents.
