The Cottage Garden frit blend from Glass Diversions is truly a sight to behold in these lampwork beads, boasting a delightful fusion of purple, blue, and green hues reminiscent of a charming cottage garden. Within this enchanting mix, subtle hints of pink and touches of blue add depth and character, while a serene shade of green harmoniously ties the palette together. Notably, this frit demonstrates less reactivity overall, yet it can offer intriguing reactions when paired with reactive bases such as light turquoise, violet new, and periwinkle, enhancing the artistic possibilities for any glasswork endeavor.

When the frit is encased, you end up with blue green swirls. This is a very nice blend of colors that show striations within the bead without effort.

The base glass colors were violet new, willow, and white. The violet new produced beautiful reactions due to the nature of it being a reactive glass. There are some reactions over willow, and white has the least reactions as expected.

The base glass in these beads were periwinkle, light turquoise, and blueberry marble. It looks really nice over turquoise with the dark turquoise reactions. All three of these base glass colors are more reactive.

I'm looking forward to further exploration with this glass and incorporating it into my focal bead designs. The captivating array of purple hues offers endless creative possibilities. Notably, the frit blends exhibit a lower reactivity, making them ideal for achieving consistent results. However, for those seeking captivating reactions, pairing them with a reactive base glass color will unlock a world of artistic potential.
