Tectonic Tide Shimmer Lampwork Focal Bead SRA
This one-of-a-kind artisan lampwork focal bead captures the feeling of shifting currents and geological movement beneath deep ocean waters. Swirling layers of cobalt, indigo, soft blush, ivory, and metallic silver glass create dimensional depth that changes dramatically depending on orientation and light.
Veins of reduced silver glass shimmer like fault lines through the composition, while areas of warm champagne and subtle gold flash add contrast and energy. The clear encasement acts as a lens, magnifying the internal atmosphere and giving the bead a sense of suspended motion.
Viewed vertically, it feels like a tidal surge.
Viewed horizontally, it becomes a landscape — a cross-section of oceanic layers in motion.
Handcrafted in my studio using premium silver-reactive glass (Double Helix), Effetre, and CIM, this bead has been carefully shaped and digitally kiln-annealed for durability and long-term stability.
This focal bead is ideal for a statement pendant design or for collectors who appreciate layered silver glass artistry.
