Purple Glow Shimmer Lampwork Focal Bead

This one-of-a-kind Purple Glow Shimmer Lampwork Focal Bead captures a soft, radiant interplay of cool purples, luminous blues, and glowing pink undertones, all suspended beneath a clear encasing layer.

At its core, vibrant pools of electric blue and periwinkle drift through a field of soft lavender and blush, creating a glowing, almost ethereal effect. Beneath this, a shimmering pink layer adds warmth and depth, enhanced by subtle sparkle that catches the light from within with silver foil and dicroic accents. Delicate wisps of white glass flow across the surface like gentle currents, adding movement and an organic, painterly feel.

Each layer was carefully built and partially melted to preserve separation while allowing natural blending at the edges. The result is a bead with striking depth, colors appear to float and shift depending on the angle and light, giving it that signature “glow.”

This bead is part of my Studio Bead series, where frit, glass fragments, and layered techniques come together to create truly one-of-a-kind designs that cannot be exactly replicated.
