Hydrangea Bloom Shimmer Lampwork Focal Bead

This one-of-a-kind Studio Lampwork Focal Bead captures the layered beauty of a hydrangea bloom suspended in glass. At its center, soft blues and aquas blend with hints of periwinkle and blush, creating a luminous, floral-inspired core. Surrounding layers of transparent glass reveal floating fragments of color, delicate wisps of white, and shimmering gold aventurine that catches the light with every movement.

Each element within the bead was carefully placed and partially melted to preserve depth and dimension, allowing the colors to remain distinct while softly blending at the edges. The result is a bead that feels alive—like petals, light, and color drifting beneath the surface.

This bead was created as part of my Studio Bead series, where glass fragments and frit are intentionally combined to form organic, one-of-a-kind designs that can never be exactly replicated.
