Midnight Prism Reversible Bead Art Necklace

Midnight Prism is a one-of-a-kind reversible bead art necklace created with layers of intricate beadwork, shimmering Swarovski crystals and pearls, and richly detailed Bali silver.

At the center is an approximately 1 x 1 inch hand-beaded reversible pendant, giving you two distinct looks in a single piece. One side features a dramatic faceted Czech glass focal surrounded by layers of black, charcoal, metallic, and iridescent seed beads, crystals, and silver accents. The Czech glass shifts beautifully with the light, revealing smoky gray, subtle purple, and reflective flashes as the viewing angle changes.

Turn the pendant over, and an entirely different piece of bead art appears. Dense dimensional beadwork creates an abstract mosaic of matte black, metallic silver, smoky crystal, and tiny flashes of iridescent color. Rather than treating the reverse as simply the back of the pendant, both sides were created to be worn and enjoyed.

The artistry continues throughout the 17 1/2-inch adjustable necklace. Swarovski pearls and crystals, seed beads, sterling silver accents, and ornate Bali silver components are individually incorporated into the strand, creating a richly embellished design that complements the pendant from end to end. A coordinating beaded drop finishes the extender chain.

Midnight Prism is substantial in detail without being oversized—a piece meant to reveal something new each time you look at it. The contrast of dark beadwork, luminous crystal, aged silver tones, and the transforming Czech glass focal gives the necklace an elegant, mysterious quality.

Like much of my bead art, this design reflects a jewelry-making style in which the necklace itself becomes the artwork. Every section contributes to the finished composition, making Midnight Prism truly one of a kind.
