Bring layered, atmospheric color to your glasswork with the Celestial Green Frit Blend, an original SWCreations mix inspired by misty blue-green stone, weathered minerals, and soft natural greens.
This 96 COE frit blend combines deep blue-green, muted teal, soft sage, pale green, creamy vanilla, and smoky neutral tones to create a palette that feels organic, dimensional, and slightly mysterious. Depending on the base glass and application, the colors can shift from soft sea-glass greens and cloudy celadon to deeper teal, gray-green, and mineral-like streaks.
Celestial Green is especially beautiful in lampwork beads, where the blend can create flowing ribbons, layered swirls, mottled stone-like patterns, and subtle reactive effects. On lighter bases, the softer greens and cream tones tend to remain more visible, while reactive or darker base glasses can bring out deeper blue-green, smoky, and earthy variations. Because some of the colors are reactive, less is often more, especially when layering or encasing.
The blend is designed for 96 COE glass and may also be used sparingly with 104 COE glass, generally around 5–10% of the total design. As with any mixed-COE application, testing is recommended.
Use Celestial Green for botanical designs, woodland-inspired beads, organic stone effects, oceanic palettes, layered swirls, and jewelry designs that call for a softer, more atmospheric green rather than a bright emerald tone.
