Twisted Striped Lampwork Bead
A customer reached out to me and asked if I could make a focal bead to match this set and turn into a necklace. Since I knew which colors most of these beads were, I decided to give it a try.
It gave me great creative freedom to just have colors and to decided how to incorporate those colors into the focal bead. I ended up using a layering technique from a Amalgamation Lampwork Bead Tutorial (see below) I watched and blended it into my own style. I really like how the bead turned out. I created some custom twisted shimmer stringers to use as layers and blended it with my organic style beads.
You can see elements of this organic style of bead in the bead above. I kept the transparent core on one end of the bead, but changed up the look in the organic section.
This bead did match the set perfectly and almost looks like they were made to go together. My customer was very pleased and now I just need to turn this into a necklace.
