Chameleon Skies Blue Lampwork Bead Set

This lampwork bead set was crafted using another in-house custom frit blend. I'm still deciding whether this one will be available for sale. What’s truly captivating is the unique reaction from the Gaffer Chameleon frit color in these beads. It creates a mesmerizing, watercolor-like effect that adds depth and motion to the design. The blend pairs beautifully with the purple and blue tones. I think this combination could create some stunning jewelry pieces or artistic beads.

You can really see the translucent splashes of brown colors it creates. Gaffer glass is known for its highly reactive and dynamic qualities. Its striking reaction and color shifts are due to a unique chemical composition in the glass, which includes elements like lime, soda, and other fluxes that enhanced reactivity. Other colors from that react are Gaffer Chalcedony (raku), Gaffer Rainbow, and Gaffer Opal. This responsiveness allows artists to create beautiful, unpredictable effects, adding an extra layer of artistry to their work.
